Short version

Your journal entries are yours. We don't sell your data, we don't rent it, we don't show ads, and we only collect what's needed to make the app work.

What we collect

  • Account info — your email address (and Google profile basics if you sign in with Google).
  • Journal data — the LSAT entries, drills, tags, and notes you create.
  • Operational logs — minimal request logs (timestamps, error traces) used to keep the service running. No tracking pixels, no third-party analytics.

If you use the app without signing in, your entries are stored only in your browser's local storage and never leave your device.

How we use it

To save your entries, sync them across your devices, generate AI analysis on entries you opt into, and produce your weekly review. That's it.

AI processing

When you press "Analyze with AI" or "Generate weekly review," the relevant entry text is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) for processing. The response is returned to you and stored on your account. We don't use your content to train any model, and under our provider's API terms, they don't either.

Sharing

Entries are private by default. If you create a public share link for an entry, anyone with that link can view the entry's content. You can revoke a share link at any time from the entry page.

Storage & security

Data is stored on managed Postgres infrastructure with row-level security so you can only read your own rows. Connections are TLS-encrypted. Passwords are hashed (we never see them in plaintext).

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to operate the Service. They process data only on our behalf, under contract:

  • Supabase — database storage and authentication.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and edge delivery.
  • Google (via Lovable AI Gateway) — AI processing for opt-in features only.
  • Google OAuth — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes — ever.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage only for essential things: keeping you signed in, CSRF/session security, and remembering your preferences (like theme and view settings). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If you use the app signed-out, your entries live only in your browser's local storage and never reach our servers.

Your rights

You can export your entries to JSON at any time from the app, and you can delete your account and all associated data by emailing us at hello@wronganswerjournal.com.

Data retention

  • Journal entries — kept until you delete them.
  • Account information — kept until you request deletion.
  • Operational logs — rotated within 30 days.
  • After account deletion — all associated data is removed from our active systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups may persist for a short additional period before they roll off.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

Payments

If and when we offer paid plans, payment processing will be handled by a third-party payment provider (such as Paddle or Stripe). We do not store your full card number or banking details on our servers — those are held by the payment provider. We receive only the information needed to manage your subscription: your billing email, plan, status, and the last four digits of your card for receipts. The payment provider's privacy policy will govern how they handle your payment information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
